kitchen progress

Current

New paint perhaps?

It's hard to believe I've been in my house for over two years! I have done lots and lots of work on it, but there is always more to re-think, fix up, change out and repair. An endless supply of funds would sure be handy, but staying on limited budget does force me to be creative... Whatever, buckets of dough would be nice :)

But seriously, I am thinking about painting the cabinets - that blonde oak has got to go.

I installed a new faucet last night and I'm so happy to get that white plastic, leaky old one out of there! It definitely modern ups the space and hallelujah, thanks to more vertical clearance, I can get my stock pot filled up MUCH easier! Oh yes, it's the little things.

things i made today

I really do love making info graphics. I started my day off by visually summarizing my evening plans for Friday night.

Dinner at my house, then drinks at The Farm, music at Doug Fir and cozy sleep.

Then, I had a job which allowed me to do more illustration today. An ad for CMD which will run in SCRAP's Incognito program. Good day.

fall series 01

So, I have been less than thrilled about the onset of fall this year. It is usually my favorite season in the northwest, but I really became smitten with warm sunshine and long summer days this year. But, this time of year DOES mean that a late-riser like myself gets to enjoy sunrises, which a most-definitely a wonderful way to start the day. Crunchy leaves are pretty good too.

Fall is here, and I am gonna soak up the rich colors with photo entries over the next few weeks to celebrate.

incognito

I've been doing some very rewarding work for a local non-profit, SCRAP. Particularly, the ID work I've done for their annual gala - Incognito - has been so much fun. The event takes place at The Nines a week from today! I better get working on my outfit and mask for the masquerade ball!

swiss miss

Love twitter and the web for keeping me in the loop, otherwise I would have missed seeing Swiss Miss speak at WK last Friday.

kitty pryde

This print has been hanging in my coworker, David's office for the last six months or so. It caught my eye the day he put it up, and I was super curious to find out who this chick was. It's Kitty Pride, a member of the x-men gang.

The artist is Zachary Baldus, of Portland.
